Crane Trophy bloodlines

Unimpeachable temperament, correct conformation and very impressive movement have contributed to an excellent beginning to his under saddle career in 2007. Presently being campaigned in NSW.

Willowcroft Regal Celebrity foaled on 30 November 1998. He is a Section A Riding Pony registered with Riding Pony Stud Book Society Inc Australia and also with Arabian Horse Society of Australia as an Arabian Riding Pony stallion.

His sire Urubula Regal Promise  has produced many successful show horses including two Crane Trophy winners at Sydney Royal, Willowcroft Regal Design in 2005, and our own Willowcroft Regal Wish in 2006. Other recent prestigious award winning stock by Regal Promise include Grand National Galloway of the Year winners, Beaufort Heiress (AI), and Willowcroft Regal Winter, who has in recent years consistently won Champion Galloway at Canberra,Sydney and Brisbane Royals.

stud initially became interested in purchasing Regal as his dam carries very similar bloodlines to our Crane Trophy 2006 winning mare, Willowcroft Regal Wish.  The sire of his dam, Lea Brea Celebrity, was Wish's half brother, Willowcroft Wizard.  Willowcroft Raffles, now deceased, was not only Wish's dam, but also Regal's great granddam and granddam of Willowcroft Regal Winter.

These performance proven bloodlines have produced an exceptionally quiet and conformationally correct pony, and with the impressive movement of a much bigger horse.  This sensational 13.1hh dark brown riding pony stallion will stand for the first time at public stud in NSW from spring 2007.  Chilled and frozen semen is available.

He was found in paddock condition in late April 2007 at a stud dispersal sale in the lower Hunter Valley following the decision of his previous owners to concentrate on the breeding of their appaloosas.  He is presently being campaigned in NSW in pony dressage and shown in ridden riding pony and arabian derivative stallion classes. is very grateful to Pip Cooper of Falcon SportHorses for her  training of Regal. Pip took over his reins in June 2007 and it was her  considerable skills as an accredited NCAS Level 2 Dressage Specialist Coach Educator that developed the pony's natural talents, leading to outstanding performances in the dressage arena and preparing him for success in the showring.
