Willowcroft  Regal Wish

Willowcroft  Regal Wish, is by Urubula Regal Promise out of thoroughbred mare Willowcroft Raffles. She was foaled in South Australia on 16 October 1998 and started under saddle by Shelly Penny of Victoria.  Balledor purchased Wish from Willowcroft Stud in late 2003 and campaigned her in NSW, where she was very successful, not only in the open ring, but also a child's galloway and arabian riding pony.

This short saddle career climaxed with winning the prestigious 2006 FL Crane Perpetual Trophy at Sydney Royal, and so now Wish begins stud duties. Her exquisite 2007 filly pictured right by Pendley Gold Cup was born on 27 November and though a maiden, Wish has proven herself to be an excellent broodmare.  Her 2008 colt by Oakvale Serenade is to be named Balledor Masterpiece, is expected to mature up to height, hopefully without exceeding the 14.2hh riding pony breed standard and at this stage is to be retained by the stud.

Spirit of Balledor
Chestnut thoroughbred mare
Registered ASB Jumping High Aust. id: 467571
Current Winner (USA) out of Stunning Girl (NZ).

Spirit of Balledor was foaled on 10th November 1989 at Bracken Stud in the Hunter Valley NSW.

About her sire
Her sire Current Winner was Supreme Champion thoroughbred exhibit at 1999 Brisbane Royal.  He also sired a number of well known local performance horses eg Waltzing Matilda, the mare Krissy Harris trained in showjumping prior to 2000 Olympics in Sydney and successful hack affectionately known locally as Big Red, owned and ridden by Kim Durante (nee Lowe).

To date, she has produced four beautiful and correct foals Balledor Debut, Balledor Encore and at last in 2007 a filly, Balledor Heiress pictured right, to be retained by the stud.

We are particularly pleased with her 2008 foal, her first by Regal, and who bears a striking resemblance to his half-brother Balledor Debut
